Services

At Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic Companion Animal our doctors and staff strive to provide as many in clinic services as possible which can include:

  • Medical services: full physical exams, microchips, vaccinations, puppy and kitten care, prescription diets, pain management, digital radiography, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
  • Laboratory: complete blood counts, serum chemistry profiles, heartworm testing, feline leukemia testing, cytology, urinalysis, fecals (checking for internal parasites). We also team with reference labs to be able provide the most comprehensive diagnostic options for our patients.
  • Surgery: spays, neuters, growth or mass removals, cystotomy (removal of bladder stones), CCL repair (surgical stabilization of the knee joint), cherry eye repair, and foreign body removal (your pet eats something they shouldn't have).
  • Dental work which include teeth cleaning, full mouth digital radiography (to look below the gum line), and tooth/teeth removal.

Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Our computerized system is also integrated with a reminder system for your and our convenience so you don't have to worry about a forgotten date or time of an upcoming appointment. This system also allows established patients to make appointments from their computer or phone at anytime.

Emergency & Urgent Care

Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency and the staff can prepare for your arrival.

We are also available for urgent care needs when the clinic is open. This is when the condition is non life-threatening but you may need to come in before our next available appointment slot. Please call and we will do our best to accommodate you and your pet.
